Financial Aid
We provide financial assistance to students from all countries that can demonstrate financial need. Our financial aid programs include the possibility for:
- Scholarships for academic achievers
- Loan programs that cover part of tuition.
South American International University Foundation has available a limited amount of student loans for students that can demonstrate financial need a loan can be arranged to support tuition. Students from the USA or Canada can obtain a loan for up to 50% of tuition, while students from other parts of the world – if eligible - can obtain a loan up to 30% of tuition. Conditions apply. Repayment begins 6 months after the student is no longer enrolled at SAIU.

Private Loan Programs
The HSL-01 is a private loan program available to SAIU students. Eligible students can obtain a loan of up to 30% of tuition. Students are required to maintain a minimum 2.80 GPA. Students that make use of this loan program are not able to combine it with any other loan program offered by SAIU.

Scholarship Programs
Any student enrolled in the MD program that demonstrates academic excellence by completing at least one semester at SAISOM with a GPA of 3.6 or above, or that transfers to SMU with a GPA of 3.6 or above, is eligible to receive a SAI scholarship. SAISOM reserves the right to limit the number of scholarship students.
