SAIU has been chartered by the Government of Suriname
South American International University (SAIU) has been chartered by the Government of the Republic of Suriname to establish a School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Paramaribo, Suriname. This charter allows SAIU to issue BSc., MSc., MD and Post Graduate degrees in Health Sciences. Graduates of SAIU that has successfully completed programs of the university are eligible for licensure in Suriname. Through reciprocity with WHO, graduates are eligible to get licensed in other WHO affiliated nations once they have complied with the licensing requirements of the specific nation.
