SAISOM - South American International School of Medicine

SAISOM - South American International School of Medicine, has its campus at the St. Vincentius Hospital in Paramaribo, Suriname. The school offers a 4 year MD degree that is available to students with a Bachelor of Science. The program is also available to students that have successfully completed a pre-medical program of 96 credit hours with a focus on sciences.

SAISOM offers post-graduate programs in select specialties. Post graduate programs are based on the model curriculum of the Indian Medical Council (IMC).

SAICHS – South American International College of Health Sciences

SAICHS – South American International College of Health Sciences, has its campus in Willemstad, Curacao. The College offers an accelerated pre-medical curriculum to prepare students for the medical program offered by SAIU.

Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies (BSc)

The Bachelor of Sciences in Medical Studies, also referred to as the Pre-medical program, is offered in an on campus or on-line format. Students can complete a 120 credit hour curriculum and obtain a Bachelor of Science degree. Our program focuses on building your competencies as a future member of a healthcare team. While you’ll gain core knowledge in the sciences, you’ll also learn about evidence-based decision making, health communication and cultural competence.

Upon completing this pre-med bachelor’s degree program, you will be prepared with the scientific knowledge and the communication skills needed to pursue a graduate studies in healthcare. Health-related graduate programs you may pursue include Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary medicine. Students that complete the program with the required GPA will gain admission to the MD program at SAISOM.

The pre-med program has a lab requirement that must be completed on campus. It is recommended to spend one month of the program on campus to gain experience in sciences. During this period, you will conduct hands-on experiments, connect with fellow students, and engage with faculty. The skills you’ll build in this lab experience are designed to support your post-graduation goals.

Accelerated Pre-Medical / MD Program

The accelerated pre-medical curriculum is specifically designed to prepare students for the MD program offered by SAISOM. Students that choose the accelerated program will receive pre- admission to our MD program once they have completed 96 credit hours and maintain the required minimum grade point average.

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)

SAICHS will offer a Bachelor of Nursing at its new campus in Willemstad, Curacao. The program is available to students that have completed a recognized nursing program and have completed the necessary years of experience.

At SAICHS our nursing program seeks to develop nurses with a passion for helping people and elevate patient care. The BSN program will prepare you to pursue a leadership role and can help you drive your goals forward. You can tailor your studies to your interests and focus on specialization that allows you to develop your career path.

SAIIMT – South American International Institute of Management & Technology

SAIIMT – South American International Institute of Management & Technology, offers a Master in Public Health (MPH). The program is available to MD students that seek to obtain a dual degree

SAIIMT offers certificate courses in IT and AI as it relates to healthcare. SAIIMT will be offering an MBA program with focus on technology in healthcare at its new campus in Willemstad, Curacao.

SAIIMT programs are designed to provide healthcare professionals with supporting skills they may require when running a small or large organization in healthcare. The program is available to MD students that seek to obtain a dual degree. The dual degree programs require one additional year academic learning. Programs are taught in combination at our campus in Paramaribo, Suriname, in coordination with SAISOM.

MD/Master of Public Health (MPH).

The Doctor of Medicine-Master of Public Health (MD-MPH) dual degree program is designed to equip future practitioners with foundational knowledge and skills in clinical medicine and the science and practice of public health to better address health and wellness and complex health issues on an individual and population. The degree holder may choose to pursue careers in academia, government, non-profit organizations, health care delivery systems, and agencies working on disease prevention.

MD/Master in Business Administration (MBA)

The Doctor of Medicine – Master of Business Administration (MD-MBA) dual degree program is designed to develop outstanding leaders in healthcare that are both skilled in medicine and management. MD-MBA graduates are expected to provide the leadership necessary for innovation and progress in both medicine and business.

The benefits of interdisciplinary academic programs are increasingly evident. The MD-MBA program will allow candidates to experiment with new ways to approach healthcare and business related issues.

An MBA provides essential management education that assists healthcare workers to better understand the business of healthcare. Physicians will be more adept at participating in the management of large organizations as well as learning how to run their own private practice or group practice. Other career options for MD-MBA dual degree candidates may include becoming a medical director, a consultant to pharmaceutical and healthcare institutions.

to students with a Masters Degree, or equivalent, that have successfully completed the program and have submitted a thesis that relates to their specialization.

ASHA brings over 18 years of experience in the area of Alternative Therapy and Holistic Healing, which is a very exciting area that has attracted much interest in recent years. SAIU is very pleased to have a relationship with ASHA THE HOPE FOUNDATION in this area,

ASHA THE HOPE, established at 1698, 5TH a Cross Rd, 2nd Block, Phase 1, Banashankari 1st Stage, Banashankari, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560050, India, duly represented by Dr. Asha (Asha Srikanta Lingapandit Srinivasan),in her capacity as Founder, runs well established health sciences education programs in India, and confirms to be affiliated to ICPEM (Indian Council for Profession Education Mission) and Accredited by Skill Development Council Canada, and has achieved ISO 21001:2018.

Upon completion of the program and submission of the Final Thesis by a student, the University in collaboration with ASHA THE HOPE will confer the following Diploma to each student that has successfully completed the program: Doctorate in Alternative Therapy and Holistic Healing.

Upon submission of the Final thesis the appropriate Thesis Certificate will be issued which mentions the area of specialization (out of 10 modules), that the student has successfully completed.

The Diploma and Certificate will state that the University in collaboration with the Center has awarded the degree. Degrees will be awarded to students that have completed the program successfully.

The responsibility of awarding Degrees to students lies with the Center in collaboration with the University.

This program is a Hybrid Doctorate Program that combines the Post Graduate Diploma in Holistic Healing (PGDHH) with the Post Graduate Diploma in Alternative Therapy (PGDAT). By integrating the two a comprehensive curriculum has been designed to cater to working professionals in the field of wellness. Participants will explore various alternative therapies for mind, body and soul, fostering personal and professional growth through a holistic approach to healing.

This two year course is available on-line and at the ASHA The Hope campus in Bangalore, India. Participants should have a Masters degree in any stream and at least 5 years of practicing experience.
